and the smiling, dogface sadist (and "entertainer of the troops") Lynndie England.

I think Northrop Frye would have described Ms England as Ms MacDonald's demonic parody. I'm sorry, Ann-Marie, wherever you are. Is it ironic that Ms England redefined the phrase Fall On Your Knees? Meh? I know, I'll behave myself.

      Parenthetic post-script: The resemblance between the two is actually more pronounced in the Abu Ghraib photos, but I'd rather not post those things here for reasons that should not need stating.
