And The White Man Dancin'

Marx (Karl, and oddly enough not Groucho) once said that religion was the opium of the people. He didn't know the half of it. In California, it's evidently the crack-cocaine. Absolutely horrifying. Suddenly, Leonard Cohen's "The Future" seems too close to prophecy.

To add a bit of levity, though, I'd like to remind everyone of Leonard's "Closing Time," a song Doctor J can quote entirely from memory, usually as a spectacle over extended imbibements that require toasting. (Take a drink everytime Leonard says "Closing Time." Trust me, it starts off easy enough....) The lyrically astute among you will notice that each of the main verses is a sonnet. I can't remember the last time a songwriter tried that.
