Doh, Canada! (It's A Good Thing.)

This blog, as I'm sure most of you have noticed, hasn't given a tinker's damn about the Martha Stewart fiasco. I assure you, it still doesn't. But reading Slate today, I laughed out loud in reading this piece on the perjury of prosecution witness Larry Stewart. Why? See for yourself:

Larry Stewart, ostensibly the most awesomely credentialed witness in the entire Stewart/Bacanovic trial, has, for many years, been banned from testifying in Canada, apparently for overstating evidence in a case. [emphasis added]
Gee, I guess this little fact-- the testiomial record of your key witness-- didn't matter too much to the prosecutors. And they call us hosers.
