Not For Your Eyes Only

It’s amusing how petty some corporations can be. The article’s author might be a tad over dramatic comparing BA to Soviet Russia -the company's behaviour seems more akin to a teenager cutting an ex's head out of photographs after a break up.

Call it a Mile-High Flub. Then again, it's hard to fault BA for going so adamantly after a little Virgin head. ;-0

It's mystifying to me that, rather than go to so much effort, airlines in such situations don't simply show something else.

Have you ever seen the rather unfortunate John Ritter movie Skin Deep? Essentially it's a series of incidents in which the protag jumps into and out of bed with a series of women (with one good, or at least memorable, scene, in which he and some other dude charge around a darkened room wearing phosphorescent condoms). So naturally I have seen it, like, eight times on planes, with all the sex scenes removed. Why on earth would anyone decide to show a movie from which half the footage has to be cut?

From what I understand, Casino Royale is a good film, which perhaps explains it ... still, as you say, a wee bit adolescent ...

yay! I was hoping there would be at least one virgin joke...

I don't believe I've ever seen a John Ritter movie (I can only think of tv shows) but that sounds only slightly better than the last in-flight movie I sat through -Flicka. I wish they'd edited the whole damn thing out, hell let's just watch the map for 4 hours.

Skin Deep may be the only one he ever made. (Certainly I don't think anyone would have encouraged him to make any more...) It's worth watching, should you ever happen upon it on TV, just for the condom scene, but otherwise eminently forgettable.

Flicka -- like the horse? I always find horse movies disappointing somehow (except, not The Man from Snowy River. Loved that one. Admittedly, I was twelve when I last saw it, so...)
