Another Reason To Question The Name 'Jackson'

      Aaaagh.... Evidently, Monsieur Jackson did not heed this blog's appeal... I'm relatively confident the final film is indeed quite good, but shuffling Christopher Lee off to Buffalo still seems ingracious and wrong, even if the final film is 210 minutes long.... So I guess we're all just suposed to forget about Saruman. *No, no, no, no....* Peter, you're a good film maker, and you've impressed with your heroic stab at Tolkien, but don't make such a distasteful error in narrative elision.

      (This blog also has to say that it is surprising how many of the early reviews of the film have neglected to remark on this excision of plot and character. 'Tis sad.)
